B-24J '376th Bomber Group' (PSP5401H)

The Consolidated B-24J Liberator was a long-range bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. With origins tracing back to the early 1930s, many often overlook that the B-24 was the most extensively produced aircraft by the US for World War II. In fact, the B-24J variant alone reached a production total of 6,678 aircraft. The Liberator weighed 36,500 pounds empty (71,200 pounds stocked), reached a top speed of 290 mph, and was armed with ten 12.7 mm machine-guns with a provision for nearly 18,000 pounds worth of bomb-load. This aircraft belonged to the 376th Bomber Group (San Pancrazio, Italy).
